MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
Police confirm to WSFA an arrest in what is Montgomery's first homicide of the year 2013.
Police received a call to the 2100 block of Powell Lane around 4:30 a.m. on New Year's Day. There, officials found 21-year-old Danny Stroud suffering from a single stab wound. He was transported to Baptist Medical Center South where he was later pronounced dead.
A subsequent investigation lead to the arrest of the victim's sister and ex-girlfriend. 24-year-old Amanda Stroud and 19-year-old Tari Snell were arrested and charged with capital murder.
Both women were sent to the Montgomery County Detention Facility where they are being held without bond.
