DEKALB COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Three people are recovering in the hospital
after a violent home invasion in DeKalb County.
Deputies said Donald Phillips and Amanda
Thompson were at their home on County Road 24 in Painter Monday night when Dennis
Johnson kicked open the door.
Johnson used an axe handle to assault
Phillips and Thompson.
During the attack, Johnson was hit with a
hammer.
All three were taken to the hospital. Johnson
was transferred to Huntsville Hospital.
The District Attorney's office said nobody
has been charged, and the case will be presented to the grand jury.
