MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
WSFA 12 News has obtained a copy of the Montgomery Public School system's response to the State of Alabama regarding a grade-changing investigation.
In her response to the Alabama Department of Education, MPS Superintendent Barbara Thompson references the six system employees who are already on leave.
Thompson also outlined additional safeguards that will be implemented in the system's Grade and Credit Recovery Program. The program allows students who have failed courses to make up credits.
Thompson promises that the system will consolidate grade and credit recovery forms to a single sheet. That should help better track who signs off on any changes.
