MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A Montgomery man has pleaded guilty to a 2011
bank robbery at the Community Bank and Trust branch in EastChase.
Authorities
say 32-year-old Darrin Bell pleaded guilty to the October 5, 2011 bank
robbery and to one count of using a firearm during the violent crime.
Bell
walked into the Community Bank and Trust branch on Oct. 5, 2011, pulled
a gun from his duffel bag and demanded money from the person behind the
counter.
Authorities say Bell then fled the scene on a motorcycle with about $1,500.
Bell
faces up to 20 years in prison for the bank robbery, 7 years in prison
for involving a gun in the crime and two fines of up to $250,000.
