TITUS COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -
A child was killed and her mother and sister seriously injured in a wreck in Titus County, Monday.
The accident happened on Highway 49 about three miles east of the town of Mt. Pleasant around 6 p.m.
5-year-old Chloe Elizabeth Adams of Mt. Pleasant was pronounced dead at the scene. Her 7-year-old sister, Emmarie Dawn Adams was flown to a Tyler hospital where she was listed in critical condition.
Their mother, 37-year-old, Dawn Marie Adams also of Mt. Pleasant was transported to a Titus Regional hospital in serious condition.
Investigators say they were waiting to turn left from Highway 49 onto County Road 4230 when they were rear ended by a vehicle driven by a Mt. Pleasant man. He was not injured.
