AUBURN, AL (WBRC) -
School officials want the public to answer this question: what would Auburn look like without those historic oak trees at Toomer's Corner?
Auburn University is developing a plan in case the trees must be taken down and is seeking input from students, faculty and residents on what Toomer's Corner should look like if the oak trees have to be removed.
Meanwhile, Harvey Updyke, the man accused of poisoning the trees, was due in court today but was excused by the presiding judge.
Prosecutors are asking that his bond be revoked after Updyke was arrested in Hammond, La. where he was accused of threatening an employee at a home improvement store.
