BLACK CANYON CITY, AZ (CBS5) -
The Yavapaio County Sheriff's Office is working with the FBI to find out who fired a shot into a bank in Black Canyon City.
YCSO said on Jan. 4, one shot was fired through a window at Bank of the West from an unknown location outside the building, located at 34301 Old Black Canyon Hwy.
No one was hurt.
Detectives learned a bank employee got a phone call, prior to the shot being fired, which they believe was related. Authorities did not provide any further details on the phone call.
"The exact motivation of the shooting is not clear," YCSO said on Thursday.
YCSO said there was bank robbery the next day in Tolleson, but detectives do not believe they are linked.
Anyone with information on Black Canyon City crime is asked to call Yavapai Silent Witness at 800-932-3232.
