LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

An East Texas man is arrested for several crimes after a police raid of a Longview home.

25-year-old Corie Lamon Pierce was arrested by Longview police around 10pm Thursday in the 1600 block of South12th Street as he tried to flee a home that police say had a large amount of marijuana in it.

Police were tipped after a traffic stop when a driver told them she went to the residence to buy pills. Officials also say money was seen changing hands at the home, when the door was suddenly slammed.

Pierce was arrested trying to leave the house out a back window. Authorities say they found a handgun, a shotgun, ammunition, marijuana and body armor in the home.

Pierce was charged with possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and unlawful possession of body armor by a felon, and was released after posting over 17-thousand dollars bond.
