SCOTTSBORO, AL (WAFF) -
Funeral arrangements have been set for Lisa Greer, the woman police say was murdered by her husband.
Visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Scottsboro Funeral Home. Her funeral will be held at Scottsboro First United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Investigators said 54-year-old Dr. Terry Greer shot his wife and his daughter, 18-year-old Suzanna Greer, with a pistol Thursday at their home in the 5800 block of Country Meadow Drive in Gardendale. Greer's daughter was able to wrestle the pistol away from him and run from the home.
After his daughter wrestled away the gun, Greer stabbed himself repeatedly with a kitchen knife in the bathroom. When officers arrived, they stopped Greer from stabbing himself, and restrained him.
All three of the Greers were taken to UAB ER for treatment. Lisa Greer died Friday morning. Suzanna Greer has been released from the hospital.
Greer faces murder and attempted murder charges. It's unclear if he has a lawyer at this point.
