SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

A man who police say is connected to four robberies was arrested after being caught in the act in Chicopee this morning.

Robert Pelletier, 25, was arrested at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday after robbing a 7/11 store at 1206 Granby Rd.

Police say Pelletier was armed with a metal bar. Officers surrounded the store and cornered the suspect when he climbed up on the roof. Pelletier was taken into custody with assistance from the Chicopee Fire Department.

Police say Pelletier is connected to three other robberies this week at F. L. Roberts, another 7/11, and a Subway on Center Street.
