ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

After an emotional road win at Georgia Highlands, 18th ranked Darton College returned to their home court and took care of business defeating Atlanta Metro 65-40 Wednesday night.

Sophomore Michelle Mitchell had another solid game with 19 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 blocked shots.

Darton blocked 12 shots in the game.

Kadayasha Taylor was the only other Lady Cavalier in double figures with 10 points.

Darton (18-2, 10-1) maintains sole possession of first place in the GCAA but faces a tough week next week.

Darton has three road games at Chattahoochee Tech, Central Georgia Tech and Middle Georgia.

The Lady Cavs next home game is January 30 against Andrew.
