EATON, OH (Toledo News Now) – A Columbus man is facing felony drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized 2.5 kilos of heroin, valued at more than $370,000, during a traffic stop in Preble County.

Troopers stopped a rented 2012 Dodge Charger with Florida registration, for an unsafe lane change violation on Interstate 70 near milepost 6 at 12:54 p.m. Wednesday. The driver was found to be driving without a valid license. Other criminal indicators were observed and a Patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed 2.5 kilos of heroin concealed in a piece of luggage's false bottom.

Juan Carlos Arcos, 23, was incarcerated in the Preble County Jail.

Arcos has been charged with possession of heroin, a first-degree felony, along with possession of criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony. He was also cited for driving without a valid license and making an unsafe lane change.

If convicted, Arcos could face up to 11 years in prison and up to a $22,500 fine.
