FLINT, MI (WNEM) -
Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton has filed charges against an 18-year-old man in connection to the home invasion, robbery and strangulation of a 71-year-old man.
The Flint Journal reports the alleged attack occurred in the afternoon hours of Jan. 11 at a home on W. Dartmouth Street. Leyton said Estes J. Walker was arraigned on charges Thursday, Jan. 17.
The Flint Journal said the alleged home invasion actually happened twice, with the second attempt resulting in the attack on the homeowner.
Prosecutors said Walker also carjacked the elderly man, who remains in critical condition.
