HARRISON, MI (AP) -

A man fatally shot in Clare County has been identified as a Harrison school board member who also drove buses and previously served as the district's transportation director.

Floyd Dennis was found dead at his home Friday, about 12 miles southwest of Harrison. A 32-year-old whom authorities identify as Oanh K. Bass was in custody in connection to Dennis' death.

Bass was charged Tuesday with one count of open murder. Her bond was set at $2 million and she remains locked up at the Clare County Jail.

The 68-year-old Dennis joined the Harrison school board in 2008, but his service to the district is much longer. Superintendent Tom House calls him a "valuable member of the school community".

Clare County authorities so far aren't releasing many details about the investigation.
