PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A Portland IT worker is accused of setting up a pen camera to capture a co-worker using a breast pump at their downtown consulting firm.

Officers arrested 44-year-old Russell Gordon, of southwest Portland, on charges of second-degree burglary and invasion of privacy.

The victim discovered the pen camera at the MB&G consulting office and turned it over to her supervisors, who alerted police.

Investigators determined Gordon, who worked as an information technology employee at the company, placed the digital recorder on the victim's desk so he could record her using her breast pump.

The camera was first discovered Jan. 14, and Gordon was fired from MB&G, or Mason, Bruce & Girard, the next day.

Steve Fairweather, company president, released a statement Tuesday.

"We are just as shocked as anyone else that this has happened," he said. "We notified the police the day it was discovered and are fully cooperating with their investigation and are working to help the employee who was victimized."

Fairweather said Gordon worked for the company for 13 years.

Officers arrested Gordon Friday and booked him into the Multnomah County Jail. He was arraigned in court Tuesday.

Gordon wore a hood over his head in court, only removing it to talk to the judge. He refused to comment when contacted by a FOX 12 reporter.

His bail was set at $7,500 and he is due back in court for a preliminary hearing Feb. 6.

Portland police sex crimes detectives are not aware of any additional victims, but anyone who may have further information that could help in the investigation is asked to come forward by contacting Detective Heidi Housley at 503-823-1063.

MB&G is a natural resource consulting firm located on Southwest Washington Street in downtown Portland. It also has locations in five other states.
