LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - An elementary school student won six box seat passes to the Kentucky Derby on Wednesday.

Cortez Vinson, a fifth grader at Breckinridge Franklin School, painted the poster that won the Kentucky Derby Festival art contest.

Not only was his art work chosen by the president of Churchill Downs, but it will be displayed in the Derby Museum. In addition, Vinson will receive $500 for the art department at his school.
