SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A three-car accident on southbound I-75 near the top of the Zilwaukee Bridge in Saginaw County closed the highway earlier Thursday.

Traffic was re-routed onto I-675 for about three hours while officials worked to clean up the accident scene.

There were multiple crashes in that area and police shut down the highway as a precaution.

Multiple accidents have been reported on Mid-Michigan roadways because of the snow that fell Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

Most accidents were reported along the I-69 corridor in Genesee County but there are also accidents reported in the Tri-cities as well.

One accident took place this morning on U.S. 10 where a vehicle crash closed the passing lane of the two lane highway.

That accident has since been cleared and there are no details as to injuries sustained in that crash.
