DAVISON TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -
A number of accidents in the area forced officials to close both directions of I-69 between Irish and State Roads in Genesee County's Davison Township Thursday morning, but the roadway has since reopened.
The highway was closed down in both directions around 9:40 a.m. Thursday.
There were many crashes along the stretch of roadway, particularily from Swartz Creek to Flint.
TV5 Photojournalist Dale Ruff said the highway resembled a sheet of ice Thursday morning.
The roadway was closed for about 2 hours.
