MILLBROOK, AL (WSFA) - The Millbrook Police Department announced
today the arrest of a Millbrook man in connection with three armed
robberies, two of the same business, that started back in October.
Millbrook
Police today arrested 20-year-old Marcus M. Turner and charged him with
three counts of robbery first degree and one count of assault first
degree.
Turner was identified as the suspect in three separate business robberies in Millbrook.
The
first robbery occurred on October 16, 2012 at the Marathon Gas Station
in the 2800 block of Main Street. An adult black male entered the store
with a mask and a weapon and demanded currency.
The second and
third robberies both happened at the Pit Stop location in the 2100 block
of Main street on November 5 and December 19. Both times an armed black
male entered the business with a weapon and demanded currency.
In the December 19 incident, the store owner, 43-year-old Montgomery resident Pankaj Patel, was shot twice with a hand gun.
Turner
made arrangements to turn himself in after police attempted to take him
into custody at his residence earlier today. He is being held in the
Elmore County jail on $210,000 bond.
