PHOENIX (CBS5) -
A woman was struck and killed by a car, forcing the closure of Peoria Avenue, according to Phoenix police.
The woman was believed to be in her 30s and was struck just before 7 a.m. at 4040 W Peoria Ave., forcing the closure of Peoria Avenue in both directions between 39th and 43rd avenues.
Police said the driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators.
No other information was immediately available.
