PHOENIX (CBS5) -
A Phoenix man was hospitalized after the mother of his children ran him over during a domestic squabble in a parking lot Monday night.
The man suffered non-life-threatening head injuries after he jumped onto the hood of the woman's car as she tried to leave the lot in the 3400 block of East McDowell Road around 9:45 p.m., according to Steve Martos of the Phoenix Police Department
Martos said the woman was dropping their children off to be with their father so she could go to work when the two adults began arguing.
The man, who Martos said police believed might have been intoxicated, jumped onto the hood in an attempt to prevent her from leaving. She accelerated, causing the man to fall off and then ran over him, Martos said.
The woman remained at the scene, but no charges were immediately filed, according to Martos.
