BATON ROUGE – The LSU Tigers hope to use the momentum of the past week that included a win over Texas A&M at home and the near upset of Kentucky this past Saturday at Rupp Arena to their benefit as they host No. 17 Missouri Wednesday night at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

The game is set for a 7:05 p.m. tip and will be televised regionally over the affiliates of the SEC Network (In Louisiana the affiliates are: Alexandria - KLAX-DT2; Baton Rouge – WBXH; Lafayette – KLAF; Monroe – KARD; New Orleans – WUPL; Shreveport – KSHV.). The radio broadcast will be available on the affiliates of the LSU Sports Radio Network (Eagle 98.1 FM in Baton Rouge and in the Geaux Zone at LSUSports.net).

Tickets are available online at LSUtix.net and will be available beginning one hour prior to tipoff at the upper concourse ticket windows of the Maravich Center.

Also, it is Faculty-Staff Night with LSU Faculty and Staff members going to the upper concourse ticket windows getting a free ticket with valid Faculty-Staff ID and they will be able to bring up to five friends for $1 each.

LSU is 10-7 and 1-5 on the year, having lost two SEC games by five points on the road and another at home that went to overtime. Missouri is 15-4 and 4-2 in its first year in the in league, having won all four games at home in the league.

LSU is 9-2 at home and trying to secure double digit wins in the building for the 30th time in its 42 year history but they will have a difficult task against a team that has one of the nation's top playmakers in Phil Pressey (averaging 8.7 assists in his last nine games) and the potential to have back Laurence Bowers who could be back after missing five games with a sprained MCL. Pressey averages 11.9 points per game, Alex Oriakhi, the UConn transfer, is averaging 10.8 and Bowers comes in with numbers of 16.8 points and 6.9 rebounds.

"We have two big games coming up this week with Missouri, one of the best teams in the country, with really excellent guard play," said LSU Coach Johnny Jones. "I think they've done a tremendous job and probably will be getting (Laurence) Bowers back on Wednesday. With his presence inside and outside, I think he'll be a really tough and hard matchup for us as well. At the same time, Mississippi State has really been playing extremely hard and really improving each game. We'll have to go on the road and play them on Saturday. So, two really tough matchups for us this week, but we look forward to them."

LSU was down 11 at Kentucky and was able to hold Kentucky without a field goal for almost the last seven minutes as they cut the lead to three with 30 seconds to play and to one in the final few seconds.

"We're coming off a hard fought battle and a tough setback on Saturday. I thought we did have some positives. I thought our guys did an excellent job of staying focused and playing extremely hard throughout the game especially in that type of environment. I thought that we were able to grow and take some positives from that experience."

LSU will counter with its lineup of Andre Stringer (10.8 ppg), Charles Carmouche (9.4 ppg, 4.1 apg) and Anthony Hickey (11.9 ppg, 3.8 spg) at guard with Johnny O'Bryant III (11.7 ppg, 8.1 rpg) at forward and Andre Del Piero at center (4.4 ppg, 3.1 rpg).

Hickey leads the nation in steals average and O'Bryant III comes into the game after his second run of three straight double double games.

LSU will play Saturday at Mississippi State in a game televised by FSN at 4:30 p.m. Follow LSU Basketball on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/LSUBasketball and on Twitter @LSUBasketball.
