CONCORD TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) -

A 43-year-old Concord Township woman awoke to find a burglar standing in her bedroom.

It happened on Tuesday at 12:45 p.m. at a home on Johnnycake Ridge Road.

The woman woke up to her dogs barking, and discovered a male burglar in her bedroom. The two male burglars had broken out a rear door window and entered the home with the belief that nobody was home.

Upon startling the resident in her bed, the burglars fled the home while patrol deputies were en route.

Deputies located the suspects walking in the 200 block of Fairgrounds Road, a short distance from the crime scene.

The men were identified as 27-year-old Ryan Arkenburg from Painesville and 19-year-old Nicholas Zundel from Painesville Township.

Both men had changed their clothes in a wooded area after the crime to change their appearance.

The clothing was later recovered, along with other relevant evidence linking both suspects to the crime.

Both suspects later made a full disclosure regarding their involvement in this crime.

Arkenburg and Zundel were arrested, charged with Aggravated Burglary, and incarcerated in the Lake County Adult Detention Facility.
