FLINT TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -
Authorities in Flint Township responded to the Home Town Inn on Miller Road near I-75 early Wednesday morning after a patron complained of a strong stench.
When officials arrived at the scene around 1 a.m., they allegedly discovered a mobile meth lab.
Hazmat crews were brought in later in the morning to disable the lab and police blocked off the scene for about two hours.
The situation was brought to light by a resident at the hotel, who claimed a strange smell was coming from the room. Officials then determined that the smell was an ingredient in the production of meth. When police got into the room, they said they found a pot and several other components to make meth.
One man was taken into custody. No other information is being released at this time.
