A food server says she was stiffed on a tip…by a pastor.
In a photo first posted on forum website Reddit, the bill belonging to the server shows an 18-percent tip line scratched out and the words "I give God 10%. Why do you get 18".
The bill also shows the word "Pastor" on it.
The user who uploaded the photo said the person who signed the $34.93 check was part of a party of 20. Her restaurant inserts an automatic 18-percent gratuity for parties eight or more.
The server also said the party of 20 actually requested to have the bill of more than $200 broken up into smaller increments to avoid the larger gratuity but to no avail.
What do you think of the refusal to tip, especially by a supposed pastor? Do you think that, since the person identified as a pastor, this person can get away with this?
