HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -
The Sandy Hook Run for the Families that was scheduled to be held in Danbury has had its location moved to Hartford because of the overwhelming response in the number of people wishing to participate.
Event organizers said that race capacity has been reached, and the decision to move to Hartford was made so everyone who wants to participate can now do so.
Organizers apologized for any inconvenience the move has caused runners, and anyone wishing to change to virtual runner or who want a full refund can do so by clicking here.
The Sandy Hook Run for the Families isn't just about the race, officials said. It's about life - honoring the memory of the lives lost at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown last month.
