DEKALB COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
DeKalb County authorities are trying to figure out what happened in Pine Ridge Wednesday night.
They were called out to investigate when a topless woman was spotted walking down the road with stab wounds just after 8 p.m. on County Road 51 in the Pine Ridge community.
It's unknown why the woman was topless, but authorities said excessive amounts of alcohol were involved.
Sheriff's officials said two women and a man were in the home drinking when the stabbing took place.
The victim left the residence and headed down the road.
The woman was found at a neighbor's home where she was given a shirt to wear.
A woman at the home where the incident took place told sheriff's officials the victim came at her so she retaliated by stabbing her.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where she was treated and released.
