MIDLAND, MI (WNEM) -

Pro tennis is coming back to Mid-Michigan.

The annual Dow Corning Tennis Classic begins Sunday at the Midland Tennis Center.

It will feature some of the top women's players from around the world. Past winners of the event include Li Na in 2002, Alexandra Stevenson in 1998 and Anna Kournikova in 1996.

Last year's winner was Olga Govortsova of Belarus.

This is the 25th year of the event, the only pro tennis event in Michigan.

It runs from Sunday until Feb. 10.
