MERRILL, MI (WNEM) -
The Saginaw County Sheriff's office told WNEM.com that deputies and other law enforcement officers responded to a bomb scare at Merrill Middle School on Monday.
The actions come after a threatening note was discovered in the boy's bathroom at the middle school. Saginaw County Sheriff's Detective Sgt. Randy Pfau told TV5 that a bomb-sniffing dog was used to canvass an area near the middle school. No device was found.
Detectives did conduct interviews at the middle school for their investigation. The superintendent told TV5 all schools in the district were put on lockdown while police searched for the supposed threat.
Once authorities were finished searching, school proceeded normally for the rest of the day.
