The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of fugitive Charles Farris III.

Farris is wanted by the U.S. Marshals, Lorain County Sheriff's Office, Elyria Police Department and Ohio Adult Parole Authority for charges including robbery, failing to register as a sex offender, and violating his parole.

The robbery charges stem from an incident where Farris allegedly robbed the Speedway on Lorain Road in Elyria around 3 a.m. Nov. 10 last year. A store clerk was outside waiting for a newspaper delivery driver when Farris pushed the clerk toward the front door and told him to get inside, saying he had a gun. Once inside the gas station, Farris ordered another clerk standing behind the bullet-resistant glass by the cash registers to hand over money. After getting $374 from the clerk, Farris fled on foot.

Farris is described as a 48-year-old black male standing approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

He is believed to be hiding somewhere on the west side of Cleveland and has a previous address near the 30 block of High Street in Elyria.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Charles Farris III is encouraged to contact the NOVFTF at 1-866-4WANTED or text keyword "WANTED" with the tip to TIP411. Tipsters may remain anonymous. A cash reward may be available.
