Child hit by car near elementary school

DENHAM SPRINGS, LA (WAFB) -

A Denham Springs child is recovering after being hit by a car Monday evening.

Police say it happened around 6 p.m. in front of Freshwater Elementary.

There is no word on the severity of the child's injuries.

Officers are investigating the incident.
