WEST END, OH (FOX19) -
A man was in court on Wednesday after authorities say he forced a woman to have sex with him.
Lonnie White, 30, was charged in connection with the rape of a woman on Jan. 30 in the West End.
Police were called to the 400 block of Hopkins Street for a reported sexual assault. They say it happened around noon.
On Tuesday, White was charged with one count of rape. He is currently being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center. His bond was set at $750,000.
At a press conference Wednesday afternoon at police headquarters, police chief James Craig said White was a suspect in two other incidents, including an indecent exposure at the T.J. Maxx in downtown Cincinnati and an attempted sexual assault.
White had just been released from state prison on Jan. 16, 2013. He was serving a two year sentence for robbery. He was identified as a suspect in the rape through DNA evidence.
He had violated his parole and was booked in the Hamilton County Justice Center on Feb. 1.
"He was a violent sexual predator who would have struck again and it was critical for the safety of the community living here that we bring him into custody soon," said Craig.
Craig said the victim was on her way to work when the attack occurred and that White have stalked her and forced her to the location.
