CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
Cincinnati's police force was recognized by the Cincinnati Rotary Club.
Members of the Cincinnati Police Department were honored for their outstanding efforts on Thursday at 'Police Recognition Day'.
The award categories were for valor, career enhancement, administrative excellence and superior achievement.
Police Chief James Craig spoke about the ways the Cincinnati Police Department has been successful this year, including reduced crime and homicide rates.
Craig also presented the awards to officers for their excellence. Sgt. Donald Brown and Officer Gatsby Alexander received the Valor/Hero honor. Career Enhancement went to Police Specialist Patrick Moran, and Administrative Excellence went to Officer Ronald Avant. Lastly, Officer Michael Graise was honored for Superior Achievement.
The event was held downtown at the Hilton Netherland Plaza Hotel Hall of Mirrors.
