CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
A Cleveland mom is facing charges, police say she was drunk and speeding with her one-year-old in the front seat.
Investigators believe she was driving at nearly three times the speed limit, they say she was going 72 MPH in a 25 MPH zone, and her blood alcohol level was almost two and a half times the legal limit.
Police say there was a car seat in the back seat, but mom had her son in the front passengers seat.
19 Action News has been told mom crashed into a pole, and her son is now her paralyzed from the neck down.
The accident happened in January during an early afternoon near E. 82nd and St. Clair Ave. in Cleveland.
The baby may never walk again, but mom walked away with only minor injuries.
Cleveland accident investigators have taken the case to county prosecutors and a grand jury. 19 Action News is not naming the mother until she's been indicted.
