Police: Son robs elderly mother for crack

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Highview man is accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and cash from his mother to buy crack.

According to police, Danny Loy lived with his 80-year-old mother on Victoria Drive. Loy told police his mother was in poor heath and he was her caretaker.

Police said Loy allegedly stole $50,000 worth of her jewelry and nearly $6,000 in cash. They said he admitted to stealing the jewelry and cash to buy crack.

Loy is facing theft and exploitation charges.
