Erlanger Police are looking for a man who stole Girl Scout Cookie money from a volunteer's car.
According to reports, the victim was helping a local Girl Scout Troop sell cookies on Saturday afternoon in front of a Kroger on Dixie Highway. The victim walked to her car and placed her purse containing the cookie money on her passenger seat.
Police say a man followed the woman to her car. The man opened the woman's passenger door and fled with her purse.
A Kroger employee who heard the victim's cry for help pursued the suspect on foot.
The suspect removed the cookie money from the purse and threw the purse at the employee. The suspect got away in the process.
Police tracked the suspect finding his discarded hoodie behind a business across the street from Krogers.
Footage from security cameras inside of the store shows the suspect with a female associate.
Police believe that the female associate may have been working as a lookout for the suspect. Authorities believe she may have been waiting for the suspect with a car.
