SUNMAN, IN (FOX19) -
Two EMS workers have died from injuries sustained when a car collided with an ambulance in downtown Indianapolis.
Police say a 21-year-old woman slammed into the ambulance on Saturday afternoon. Officials say they found the ambulance on its side. The force of the impact caused the ambulance to slide into a parked vehicle.
Police say the ambulance was not on an emergency run and did have the right away.
The driver of the ambulance, 24-year-old Tim McCormick from the Indianapolis suburb of Greenwood, died Saturday.
Cody Medley, a 22-year-old paramedic, died Sunday morning at Wishard Hospital from severe injuries.
Medley, originally from Scranton Pennsylvania, previously worked for the nearby Sunman Rural Fire Department.
Former colleagues from the Sunman Rural Fire Department honored Medley's memory today.
