KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

The driver of an SUV was injured and a Kansas City ambulance crew member shaken up in a crash Monday afternoon.

Chopper5 showed the smashed-in front of the ambulance. Chopper5 showed a member of the ambulance being treated on a stretcher and put in a second ambulance.

The crew member was checked out at the scene, but did not require being taken to the hospital.

The man driving an SUV involved in the crash was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The crash happened about 5:15 p.m. at 93rd Street and Ward Parkway. The ambulance was en route to Station 28 at Red Bridge and Holmes roads when the crash happened.
