SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -
A Springfield police officer was sent to Baystate Medical Center for observation Monday night following a car accident involving a police cruiser and an SUV.
The accident happened near the Roosevelt Avenue Bridge around 11:30 p.m.
The officers injuries are thought to be non-life-threatening.
The Traffic Bureau is investigating the accident.
