CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
The Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office has announced the indictment of James Napier for the rape of two girls, ages 11 months and 9 years.
Napier stands
indicted on 11 counts of Rape, and if convicted of all charges,
faces the possibility of life in prison without parole.
Napier, who is already facing
Federal Charges in U.S. District Court for 23 charges involving child pornography,
is now charged with the actual sex acts relating to those federal charges. The children involved in this indictment were
related to his girlfriends at the time.
Authorities became aware of Napier's activities when an FBI agent
noticed suspicious online trading activity for child pornography and linked
this activity to Napier.
Napier has previously been
arraigned in U.S. District Court. He is
currently being held in the Boone County Jail under federal detention. A court appearance in Hamilton County will
occur when the federal charges are resolved.
"There are no words to adequately describe this
type of crime," said Prosecutor Joe Deters. "We will work with federal
authorities to ensure that Napier gets the longest possible prison
sentence. The only way he should ever
leave prison is feet first."
