Hazel Green, AL (WAFF) -
A Madison County man was charged after agents say they found his moonshine still.
Agents with Alcoholic Beverage Control and Madison County sheriff's deputies pulled over Randy Childers of Hazel Green for a traffic stop Tuesday.
After the stop, officers found a five gallon moonshine still. They also found parts of the still cooker, thumper, condenser, and worm along with some grain.
Sergeant Steve Ziaja called it a major bust, not just because they believe the suspect was planning on producing from it soon, but also because of how rarely they find stills.
Childers was charged with illegal possession of prohibited liquor. The case is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
