SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -
Below-freezing temperatures has caused the rain that fell on Tuesday to freeze, and that is causing problems for commuters on area roadways.
Icy conditions are being reported on most main and secondary roads throughout Mid-Michigan.
Expressways are also ice-covered in some spots, especially north of the Bridgeport area. That includes I-75, U.S. 10 and U.S. 127.
Road conditions on the major roadways are not as bad south of the Bridgeport area, but some spots are ice-covered.
The windy weather is not helping matters either as snow continues to blow over the roadways in open areas.
Temperatures will continue below the freezing mark in Mid-Michigan for the next couple of days, so conditions aren't expected to improve until Saturday, when temperatures will rise.
