HEMLOCK, MI (WNEM) -
A car unable to stop because of slick roads struck a moving train in Saginaw County on Friday.
The crash occurred in the area of Gratiot and Watson roads in Richland Township, about 10 miles west of Shields.
Emergency crews told WNEM.com that the only person in the car received minor injuries to her neck. She was transported to Covenant Hospital for treatment.
Police said she slowly slid into the train and was able to exit her vehicle without assistance.
Woman told police she saw the train coming and she couldn't stop. Police say she was extremely lucky not to have been injured more severely.
It's not known how much damage was done to the car or the train.
