COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) -

A viewer is becoming fairy godmother to the victim of a horrific texting and driving crash after seeing her story on FOX19 last week.

Aimee Bishop had been down in Alabama when, according to what state troopers told her, a woman who was texting and driving at 70 miles per hour crashed into her on a rural road head-on. Aimee nearly died. Today, unable to work, the medical bills are piling-up. She's worried that she and her fiance, Jordan Eckert, won't be able to afford a nice wedding.

When Donna Salyers, who owns "Fabulous Bridal" in Covington, saw Aimee's story on FOX19 she knew she wanted to help. So she contacted us and asked us to get the word to Aimee that she wanted to donate a brand new wedding dress from her store.

Tearing-up today inside her other store, "Fabulous Furs," Donna told us that Aimee captured her heart because she's "such a young girl dealing with so much but with such class and optimism. And I wanted to recognize that. And if it makes her happy, that's plenty."

Aimee is definitely happy now. Flutes of champagne and Sierra Mist in-hand, she, her grandmother who raised her, a longtime family friend, and her future mother-in-law walked into Fabulous Bridal around noon. Soon, they were upstairs where Aimee tried on several dresses before emerging from the dressing room and breaking down in tears.

She had found the one.

"It's just, I knew as soon as I put it on. You know, the tears came and it's the fit and it goes with my theme," Aimee said. "And I'm very excited!"

She was also overwhelmed by Donna's generosity and hopes to meet her in-person sometime to thank her.

It wasn't long before the tears disappeared and Aimee was smiling from ear-to-ear. The ladies raised their glasses and made a toast. It was a day that all little girls dream about. And for Aimee Bishop, a woman named Donna Salyers made it come true.
