Xavier turned the ball over 22 times against VCU's trademark "havoc" defense and lost to the Rams, 75-71.

The Musketeers shot nearly 74% in the first half and led by as many as 17 in the second half.  But, VCU forced too many turnovers with its full court pressure and erased Xavier's lead.

Xavier's Dee Davis, one of the team's primary ball handlers, left the game in the second half after knocking heads with an opponent.  He went to the locker room after the injury and didn't return.  Head coach Chris Mack wouldn't say what the injury is, but said Davis is "50/50" for Tuesday's game against Memphis.

Brad Redford and Davis led Xavier with 15 points each.

The Musketeers falls three games out of first place in the Atlantic 10 standings.
