Two people were hurt when a driver hit a pedestrian in the intersection of 75th Avenue and Camelback Road on Tuesday afternoon.

The Glendale Police Department said it appears the woman driving the car ran a red light and struck a vehicle in the intersection of 75th Avenue and Camelback Road, propelling her car toward the street corner and striking a 30-year-old woman standing at the corner and landing at the edge of a canal.

The 42-year-old driver was able to get out of the vehicle after the crash. The pedestrian and the driver were taken to the hospital. They are expected to be OK.
