Sophomore Amahni Upshaw scored 12 points to lead Brantley to its first state championship with a 53-42 victory over Keith in the Class 1A girls title game on Friday.
Upshaw, who was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, scored seven points in the fourth quarter while finishing with four rebounds and four assists.
Brantley (25-6) trailed 17-13 at the half but outscored Keith (31-4) 23-9 in the third quarter to take a 36-26 lead into the fourth.
Raven Davis scored 11 of her game-high 17 points in the quarter while Peyton Hill finished with 11 points.
Harriet Winchester led the Bears with 19 points while freshman Zykia Pettway added 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Winchester finished 4 of 7 from behind the 3-point line.
