HILLSBORO, OH (FOX19) -

A woman was flown to the hospital after a shooting in Hillsboro.

Police say that the shooting occurred on Saturday around 9 p.m. on West New Market Road.

Officials say that 25-year-old Ashley Franklin was shot in the upper back after a property altercation.

Sandra Little, 64, reportedly shot Franklin in her home with a .38 revolver.

Franklin was removed from the scene in a private vehicle and met EMS officials in New Market. Franklin was then flown to the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

Little was taken to the Highland County Justice Center for further investigation and questioning. No charges were filed and Little was released.

Police say that the case will be presented to an upcoming grand jury once lab testing and case review is complete.
