PRESCOTT, AZ (CBS5) -
A Prescott officer is recovering at the hospital after being hit by a car while he was responding to a traffic crash.
The Prescott Police Department said the officer's motorcycle was hit by a car turning in front of him in the 3100 block of Willow Creek Road about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday.
The traffic officer had his emergency lights and siren on as he was responding to a pedestrian that was hit at Sandretto Drive and Willow Creek Road.
Prescott police said the officer is in stable condition at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott.
The driver of the other vehicle was not hurt.
The pedestrian who was hit in the original crash was airlifted to a Phoenix area hospital and is also in stable condition.
