ARP, TX (KLTV) -

Two men are in a Tyler hospital after shooting at a Smith County home Tuesday evening.

Around 6:20 p.m. Tuesday, Smith County Sheriff's deputies were called to a home in the 15000 block of State Highway 135 near Arp.

Public Information Officer John Moore said one man was shot multiple times in the neck and chest. The presumed gunman accidentally shot himself in the leg, according to Moore.

The two men were taken by ground to a Tyler hospital for treatment.  The man shot in the neck and chest was in surgery as of 10:20 p.m. Tuesday and the other man was being treated. The man shot in the leg is described as being in good condition.

The investigation is ongoing and may result in charges being filed.
